BASILICATA – Red Wine
We began with a local grape variety and since the last century, we have started cultivating Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety. We have improved our product over the last years, also thanks to the collaboration with the University of Basilicata that helped us to select the most suitable shoots for our terrains. Today our wine is a perfect combination of tradition, passion, research and quality.
Vineyards: National Park of Appennino Lucano
Altitude: 850 meters a.s.l.
Annual production: 10-12 thousand bottles
Grapes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Form of breeding: Spurred cordon
Harvest: Manual at the end of October
Vinification: Destemming and maceration for about 15 days to extract the great phenolic potential
Elevage: In steel tanks for about 2 years, in constant temperature rooms
Aging: In bottles for a further 6 months
Alcohol: 14% vol.
Service temperature: 18°-20°C
Organoleptic examination: Elegance, structure and freshness distinguish the evolution in steel of this concentrated wine of great fineness, from the red color, between the ruby and the violet, with particular hints of berries and spices. Its opulent but elegant taste reveals a light sour sensation then softened with time
Pairings: Meat, cheese, dishes of great structure and truffle
